Pre-production

Together we define what success looks like for you and how we can achieve it through motion.

We can work with a script you’ve already written or create something together. I can provide story workshops to help develop your ideas into a compelling narrative.

Together we explore the look and feel of the animation. I’ll create mood boards, style frames and character sheets to ensure the visuals have a distinct identity.

The storyboard demonstrates how the images will flow with the script. This is the final stage before we move into animation production.

Production

We cast for voice talent. I can supply a range of artists for you to choose from.

I provide a selection of music choices and curate sound effects to enhance the animation. The sound effects, music and voice over need to be carefully mixed to ensure clarity and impact.

This is where all our planning comes together and I bring your story to life with motion.

Distribution

At this stage we can reformat your piece into different aspect ratios, create cut-downs for social media and add subtitles if required.

Common questions

A simple two-minute explainer might take about 6-8 weeks. A few shorts might take 2-4 weeks. Logo animation could be just a week. Complexity and communication are the key factors which affect timelines. Higher quality and longer review periods can extend timelines. I can create a bespoke quote and schedule for your project.

It depends on a number of factors including duration, complexity, style, number of assets to be created, time to deadline and video use and reach. If your budget is tight, let me know and I can create a custom solution for you.

Motion branding is a combination of guidelines and templates to ensure your brand is consistent in how it moves. It can include things like a logo animation, idents, lower thirds, title sequences and trailers.

Together we can work out what’s possible within the time you have and create a tailor-made, acheivable solution to meet your deadline.

I have years of experience writing animation scripts and helping clients communicate their stories. I can support lead scripting workshops to ensure your script is powerful, succinct and memorable.

I can curate a selection of voices and stock audio tracks for you to choose from. For specialised needs I work with Chris Black to create audio idents and music.

I can help you to develop your brand, including logo design and brand guidelines for an additional fee.

Yes. I can create bespoke individual shorts or templated batches in which some data changes, like the product or location. A popular way to work is to create one long form video from which we extract snippets for distribution via social media.
